School of Sacred Arts Teacher Training @ The Yoga Barn

Tuesday April 6 - Sunday May 2, 2010

We are proud to announce our next School of Sacred Arts teacher training for 2010.  It will be held at the beautiful ‘Yoga Barn’ (www.theyogabarn.com) … an indigenous, rustic, spiritual space, set amidst terraced rice paddies, nestled in the quaint mountain village of Ubud, Bali.

Our 200 hour training will be facilitated by SOSA co-founders Simone MacKay & Troy McFadden. Other members of our talented team are: Uma Inder, highly respected for her vast knowledge of the sister sciences of ayurveda and tantra yoga. Joseph Lee, a dedicated practitioner of Yin yoga. Cat Kabira, who brings a depth of experience in how to work with injuries and make mindful adjustments. We will also be joined by a number of amazing teachers for kirtan, pujas, and dance meditations.  Our team is looking forward to share, teach, inspire and serve ... YOU.

The training begins just following the world-renowned Bali Spirit Festival (www.balispiritfestival.com) from March 31-April 4 ... an annual celebration of yoga, dance & music.

We strongly recommend coming early for the Festival.  We are offering a discounted rate for both a BSF pass and the SOSA TT together at US$3000. The regular tuition cost is US$2850 (please note, this does not include transportation, accommodation or meals).  BSF tickets are $465, so this is a great yoga opportunity!

There are plenty of accomodation options nearby to suit any budget. April tends to be slow season so lots of variety to choose from, and all within walking distance of The Yoga Barn. We will send out more detailed information regarding accommodation options soon.

Ubud also offers wide variety of food options designed to cater specifically to the health conscious yogi.  In the back garden of Yoga Barn, ‘Little k’ is a popular destination to enjoy a healthy meal, a fresh juice, a sweet coconut or delicious chai.

Ayurvedic treatments, massage and excellent holistic practitioners are also available on site.
